ArcMail Technology Appoints Dean Richardson as Vice President of Sales

Shreveport, La. – April 29, 2008 - ArcMail Technology, a leading provider of email archiving and management technology, today announced that Dean Richardson has been appointed vice president of sales. Richardson joined ArcMail in early 2006 as the company’s chief technology officer, but after working with the product for more than two years, requested the change to lead ArcMail's sales team.

"Dean is a recognized leader in enterprise messaging technology, and his management experience, and technical and industry knowledge will help ArcMail capitalize on the growth potential for email archiving and management solutions," said Todd Gates, president and chief executive officer of ArcMail Technology. "He has already proven himself an indispensible member of the ArcMail executive team, and we are excited to see him use his energy and expertise to grow new markets for ArcMail's solutions both in the U.S. and in Europe. This is a change that Dean initiated, and as a company we fully support."

Until recently, Richardson was responsible for guiding the company’s technology development and also for all external relations with other technology vendors. He was instrumental in the development and release of several ArcMail products, including the ArcMail Defender U3120 and the U110 and U120 rack-mount email archiving appliances.

"I truly believe in the advanced technology and capabilities that we have built into the ArcMail Defender," added Richardson. "After considering the potential for ArcMail in today's marketplace, who better to lead the sales of the product then someone that had a hand in its development? I am excited about the challenges and opportunities presented by this new position, and I appreciate the confidence of the rest of the ArcMail team. I look forward to working with current and perspective customers and demonstrating the power of Defender to help solve their email archiving and management challenges."

Before he joined ArcMail, Richardson served as vice president of technology at MessageGate. Prior to MessageGate, Richardson served as senior architect at Boeing Company where he was responsible for Boeing's Enterprise Messaging Backbone, one of the largest private email networks in the world. While at Boeing, he was a board member of the Electronic Messaging Association, and was also appointed as Associate Technical Fellow of the Technical Leadership Team. Richardson has implemented messaging systems at Lockheed Martin and Tribune Company, and has served as chairman of the Messaging Forum of the Open Group, an international standards consortium.
